Vice-chairman of the National Road Safety Council, Dr. Lucien Jones, has called on citizens to liberate themselves from poor road practices. 

His call comes as Jamaica observes Emancipation Day and amid reports, that the tally for this year’s road fatalities, has risen to 222. 

He is also urging pedestrians to employ good road safety habits, which include being vigilant when walking on the nation’s thoroughfares.
