Government Senator Sapphire Longmore is calling on citizens to implement more rooftop gardens to combat climate change.

According to Senator Longmore, other countries have utilized the method.

She highlighted Bogota, Colombia which she said has managed to reduce its average temperature by two degrees with the use of rooftop gardens and she believes if implemented could also help Jamaica.

She was speaking in the Senate on Friday.
