Two inmates escaped from the Lucea Police Station lock-up in Hanover this morning. 

They are 21 year old Jermaine Barton unemployed of Cave Valley District and 21 year old Demetri Marks of Blenheim District both in Hanover. 

Police say the men were discovered missing during a routine cell check around 3:29 A.M.

Lawmen believe that they escaped through a small opening on a grilled door in the passageway of the cell area.  

It is reported that Barton is charged for breaches of the Law Reform Act and possession of prohibited weapon ,while Marks was convicted for the offence of malicious destruction of property and was sentenced to ten months imprisonment at hard labour. 

A search has been launched for the men.
