The Met Service has indicated that it’s aware of and monitoring developments related to an area of disturbed weather in the Atlantic Ocean.

In a social media post, the Met Office said the disturbed weather is showing a low potential for developing into a tropical cyclone over the next few days.

The alert from Jamaica’s Met Office comes in the wake of an advisory from the United States National Hurricane Centre.  

The NHC said that the disturbance over the tropical Atlantic could develop next week while it approaches and moves near the Lesser and Greater Antilles.
