Public nurses are still waiting to be contacted by Finance Minister, Dr. Nigel Clarke to address outstanding issues relating to the compensation review. 

The Nurses Association of Jamaica (NAJ) has given Dr. Clarke until the end of today to make contact. 

The nurses say they are aggravated over the length of time it is taking for the Ministry to implement some items on which an agreement has been reached.

They claim that the matter has been compounded following the receipt of a letter from the Ministry, which indicated that some items already agreed upon are being reviewed.

In an update to IRIE FM News this morning, NAJ President Dawn Marie Richards said neither Dr. Clarke nor any of the Ministry representatives has reached out to the nurses. 

Mrs. Richards noted, however, that the NAJ will wait until the day expires before meeting with its members to decide on the way forward.
