A man was shot and killed at Caledonia Courts Plaza in Mandeville, Manchester, last night.

He has been identified as 33 year old Omar Gaynor, of Spring Brown Road, Old Porus, in the parish. 

Police reports are that at about 11:00 P.M., Gaynor was at the plaza when he was approached by armed men who opened fire, hitting him multiple times.

Head of the Manchester Police, Deputy Superintendent Carey Duncan said Gaynor was taken to the Mandeville Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 

Gaynor is the latest of 5 people to be murdered in the parish in the past 2 weeks.

The incident is being investigated.
