Reggae Sumfest addresses no-shows

Reggae Sumfest has provided reasons for the no-shows of four entertainers at 31st staging of the recently concluded festival.

Valiant, Jada Kingdom, and Marcy Chin did not perform on Festival Night One despite being spotted at the venue.

Meanwhile, entertainer Kraff, who was also booked for the event, was a no-show.

According to Reggae Sumfest, “Unforeseen issues prevented Jada Kingdom, Valiant, and Marcy Chin from making their scheduled appearance on Festival Night 1.”

The statement further explains, “Kraff, unfortunately, had an unavoidable emergency. The artiste is eagerly anticipating performing for his fans at the next staging of Reggae Sumfest.”

Reggae Sumfest also apologized to patrons and sponsors: “We understand that many of you travelled from various parishes and countries to see the full lineup, and we apologise for any inconvenience to our patrons and sponsors this may have caused. We ensured all commitments were met to guarantee the festival’s overall success.”

Meanwhile, Anthony B, who was scheduled to perform on Festival Night 2, issued a press release through his Born Fire Music LLC, stating that he was unable to perform at the festival due to unforeseen circumstances, adding that the cancellation was not the fault of the organizers or the artist.

The press release concluded with, “We look forward to seeing you next year at the 2025 staging of Reggae Sumfest.”

Festival Night 1 and 2 of Reggae Sumfest were held last Friday and Saturday, respectively, in Catherine Hall, Montego Bay.
