JPS says power restoration efforts in some areas could be delayed by roadblocks and landslides

The Jamaica Public Service (JPS ) says power restoration efforts in some areas could be delayed by roadblocks and landslides.

This, as some 400,000 customers are eagerly waiting for power to be restored, following the passage of Hurricane Beryl.

Teams from the utility company are conducting damage assessments across the island.

JPS is also urging customers with generators and solar panels to ensure that their electricity is not flowing back into the grid, as this could be dangerous to powerline workers and members of the public.
