Mayor of Kingston, Andrew Swaby, says the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation was largely successful in removing homeless people from the streets ahead of the most significant impacts of Hurricane Beryl.

Mayor Swaby and his team toured sections of the KSAMC on Wednesday morning, urging vulnerable persons to move into some 24 available shelters.

He provided an update on the efforts this afternoon.
