U21 Sunshine Girls team named for Americas region qualifiers in Guadeloupe
A twelve-member Under 21 Sunshine Girls squad has been named that will represent Jamaica at the upcoming Americas Netball World Youth Qualifiers.
The tournament slated to take place in Guadeloupe is scheduled to run from July 7-14.
The Junior Sunshine Girls, who competed in the Red Stripe Flavours Netball Jamaica Elite League as St. Andrew Shiners, includes shooters Kellian Hunter, Shanai Martin, Kadedra Wright and Nickesha Powell.
The mid-court features Shaqwuan Hamilton, Danielle Laidlaw, Jada Ricketts and Maya Williams while the defensive quartet includes Deandra Edwards, Roxonian McLean, Tianna Reid and Fentonian Henry.
The team will be led by coach Phyliss Thompson and assistant Nicole Aiken-Pinnock.
The top 3 finishers at the Americas Qualifiers will earn a place at the World Youth Netball Cup in Gibraltar in 2025.
