Police say roadblocks on two of the main roads leading to Gayle, St Mary have been cleared.

Taxi operators took action this morning to draw attention to the poor state of the roads on which they operate.

Roadblocks were erected in the vicinity of Labyrinth and the area known as “Bruck Way’ on the road leading from Rio Nuevo.

Meantime, Member of Parliament for Western St Mary Robert Montague acknowledges that the roads are in a terrible state.

He says consultations for road repairs are to be held next week.
