A 74-year-old man is suspected to have committed suicide at his home in Content, Retreat, St. Mary, this morning.

Dead is Fredrick Riggs.

Reports are that at about 8:30 am, Mr. Riggs was at home with family members when he complained of being sad.

Further reports are that Mr. Riggs was seen with a bottle of green substance believed to be gramoxone.

He allegedly consumed the substance and began vomiting.

Mr. Riggs was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
