Education Minister urges parents to provide support to students who performed below standard in PEP Exams

Education Minister, Fayval Williams is urging parents to provide ongoing support to students who performed below the accepted standard in the Primary Exit Profile (PEP) Examinations.

PEP results were released today.

Speaking at a press briefing at the Ministry’s Kingston office this morning, Mrs. Williams noted improvements in all subject areas.

She explained that the test results contain a performance descriptor, which is colour-coded.

Mrs. Williams said each colour indicates the level at which the Grade 6 student performed.

She said parents who see the red descriptor on their child results must remain patient and offer them the necessary assistance.
