Opposition continues to criticize handling of concerns with ride-hailing companies; Vaz to provide update on sector today
The Opposition continues to criticize Transport Minister Daryl Vaz’s handling of concerns surrounding ride-hailing companies.
Speaking at a recent divisional conference, Opposition Spokesman on Transport Mikael Phillips said Mr. Vaz should be relieved of the portfolio.
He said while the opposition supported the temporary halt in ride share operations, the Minister failed to do his research before proposing a ban on the sector.
Meantime, Minister of Transport, Daryl Vaz, is expected to provide an update on the provision of services by ride-hailing companies at a press conference scheduled for 1 PM on Tuesday, June 18.
