St. Ann restaurant supervisor charged with theft of over $3M worth of patties and coco bread
Police have charged a St. Ann restaurant supervisor, in connection with the alleged theft of patties and coco bread, amounting to more than 3 million dollars in losses.
34-year-old Shana Llewelyn, of Exchange, in Ocho Rios in St. Ann, is charged with larceny as a servant and simple larceny.
The charges stem from an incident last July.
Reports are that the manager of a restaurant was alerted to pilferage occurring while the establishment as under the supervision of Llewelyn.
The manager reportedly visited the location and did an inventory, which revealed that a quantity of patties and coco bread could not be accounted for.
An audit was done, which revealed that the restaurant lost revenue, amounting to $3,659,742,00.
Llewelyn was taken into custody.
A question and answer interview was done in the presence of her attorney, after which she was charged.
A court date is being finalized.
