Justice Minister urges motorists to obey road traffic law and regulations
Justice Minister Delroy Chuck says close to 80% of the cases that come before the courts are traffic offence matters.
Against that background, he is urging motorists to always obey road traffic law and regulations.
He indicates this would help to prevent crashes such as the one in Font Hill, St. Elizabeth yesterday.
That crash resulted in the death of one man, bus driver Junior Ramsey and the injuring of several passengers.
Mr. Chuck laments that the courts are being overwhelmed by too many traffic offence cases.
He is calling on motorists to be disciplined on the roadways.
