There has been significant improvement in the operations of Automated Banking Machines, ABMs by financial institutions.

This comes after the Central Bank issued service standards, earlier this year.

Finance Minister Dr. Nigel Clarke said as of March, over 97 percent of ABM are operational. 

This is up from the 93 percent recorded in January.

Meantime, as it relates to bank customers being able to move their accounts between financial institutions, plans are advanced for the implementation of an electronic system for shared customer data.
