Vendors along Manchester Road in Manchester issued warning to vacate street
Vendors who peddle their wares along Manchester Road, in Mandeville, Manchester, have been warned to vacate the street and use the designated markets, by next Monday, June 10.
This, as effective June 10 vending on the streets will be prohibited, as police ramp up efforts to restore and maintain public order.
Officer in charge of zone one Assistant Superintendent Llamar Clarke said vending on the streets create a problematic situation with pedestrians being hindered.
He added that pickpockets take advantage of citizens in the crowded area.
The vendors are being urged to comply, as failure to do so will result in prosecution.
