Sean Kingston extradited to Florida in $1 Million fraud Case
Sean Kingston is now in custody at a Florida jail after being extradited from California.
Music News understands that on Sunday (June 2), the “Beautiful Girls” hitmaker was booked into Broward County Jail in South Florida, where he faces charges for allegedly committing more than US$1 million in fraud alongside his mother.
According to prosecutors, Sean Kingston and his mother, Janice Turner, popularly known as Mama Kingston, are accused of stealing money, jewellery, a Cadillac Escalade, and furniture totalling over US$1 million.
The singer was arrested last week at an Army training base in California where he was performing. Reports are that, at the time of his arrest, Sean Kingston was already on probation for trafficking in stolen property.
Meanwhile, his mother is currently out on bond following her arrest last week when SWAT teams raided her son’s rented Fort Lauderdale mansion.
Sean Kingston was expected to face a judge today (June 3).
