With the country now in the hurricane season, Chairman of the Trelawny Municipal Corporation and Mayor of Falmouth, Collen Gager, is urging citizens to ensure that they adequately prepare for natural disasters.

This, as he notes that adequate preparation could save lives.

Mayor Gager says while citizens cannot stop natural disasters, they can arm themselves with knowledge.

Mr. Gager is urging citizens to reduce risks in their homes and immediate surroundings.

He was speaking at a disaster awareness church service to mark the start of the hurricane season.
