Former Member of Parliament for Northwest St. Ann and Parliamentary Secretary, Princess Lawes, was laid to rest today (May 19).

Miss Lawes died on Friday, April 19 at 79 years old.

Current MP for Northwest St. Ann, Krystal Lee, presented a tribute to Miss Lawes, on behalf of Prime Minister Andrew Holness.

She noted that the former MP was a champion voice for the women and children of Jamaica.
