Over 700 data controllers create accounts with Office of the Information Commissioner, ahead of June 1 compliance deadline
Minister with responsibility for Digital Transformation, Senator Dr. Dana Morris Dixon, has indicated that as of Wednesday May 8, over 700 data controllers have created accounts with the Office of the Information Commissioner.
Speaking in the Senate on Friday, Dr. Dixon said, this reflects the good reception that data protection is getting from the business community.
She assured citizens that the implementation of the Data Protection Act will benefit them and will be done in an equitable and inclusive manner.
Public and private agencies have until June 1 to comply with the regulations under the Data Protection Act.
