Prime Minister Andrew Holness has been conferred with an Honorary Doctoral Degree of Humane Letters by the Delaware State University, in the United States of America.

The degree is the university’s highest honor.

It was awarded yesterday, during the university’s 2024 graduation ceremony, at which Mr. Holness was the guest speaker. 

Delaware State University President Dr. Tony Allen made the announcement.

While making his address, Mr. Holness acknowledged that 38 of the graduates are Jamaicans.

Noting that perspective can influence how they handle life’s challenges, Mr. Holness encouraged the graduates to be mindful of their perspective.
