Jhaniele Fowler-Nemhard leads West Coast Fever to 5th straight win in Suncorp Super Netball League
Star Sunshine Girls shooter Jhanielle Fowler-Nembhard landed another big performance in the Suncorp Super Netball League, as she led West Coast Fever to a fifth straight win in their round five showdown with the Queensland Firebirds.
Fowler-Nembhard scored 62 from 64 attempts to go along with 3 goal assists and 2 offensive rebounds as the unbeaten Fever roared to a 94-58 victory at RAC Arena in Perth, coming up just short of the record 97 goals they scored last year also against the Firebirds in what was a dominant 34-goal (97-63 ) victory.
Another Sunshine Girl Shanice Beckford scored four from her six attempts and also drained another four supershots from 5 as the Jamaican trio which also included a solid defensive effort from Kadie-Ann Dehaney who finished with 2 intercepts and 4 gains.
Chasing their record-breaking win from last year, Fever coaches were happy to take Fowler-Nembhard off and keep Olivia Wilkinson on with Wilkinson going on to shoot an impressive 15/17.
The Fever with the dominant result maintain their place atop the table on maximum 20 points.
