Education Minister Fayval Williams is again pleading with the nation to join hands in fighting against child abuse.

According to the Minister, data from the Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA), reveals that 13,513 reports of child abuse were made last year.

She said with child month being celebrated in May, persons must speak out if they witness any form of child abuse.  

She reminded persons to utilize the 211 helpline. 

She also called on adults to desist from placing children in unsupervised situations which expose them to sexual assault and other forms of abuse.
