Hanover tour bus operator charged for alleged sexual assault incident
A Hanover man was slapped with several charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman, 2 months ago.
He is 36-year-old Mervin Jarrett, a tour bus operator, of New Mills District.
The Centre for the Investigations of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse ( CISOCA) said Jarrett is facing charges of rape, abduction, assault at common law and possession of prohibited weapon.
Reports are that on Sunday, March 10 Jarrett picked up a woman at a bus stop, drove her to a house, and brandished a firearm, before sexually assaulting her.
A report was made to the police and following investigations, Jarrett was arrested and charged.
His court date is being finalized.
