Hydel High defended their 4×100 meters title on Friday’s second day of action at the 128th running of the Penn Relays in Philadelphia.

The quartet of Shemonique Hazle, Alia Baker, Shania Myers, and Jody Ann Daley sped to the win in 44.71 seconds.

The Ferry based institution held off a resolute Edwin Allen who clocked 44.96 seconds with third place going to St. Jago in 45.14 seconds.

Before that, Immaculate won the International B race in 46.70 seconds, finishing ahead of Excelsior in 46.83 seconds with third place going to STETHS in 46.86 seconds.

Earlier the Jamaica College trio of Balvin Isreal 7.24 meters, Chavez Penn 15.38 meters, and Shaquan Dunn 20.73 meters won the long jump, triple jump, and shot putt titles respectively.

Chad Hendricks of Munro College captured the discus title with a throw of 66.17 meters.
