Police seized counterfeit goods, valued at over $250 million at a store in Ocho Rios, St. Ann yesterday.

The operation was conducted by the Counter Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation (C-TOC) Branch. 

Assistant Superintendent Victor Barrett said the goods seized, include counterfeit brand items, such as: Crocs, Supreme, and Gucci.

ASP Barrett said citizens should not engage in the purchase or sale of counterfeit goods.

He added that this creates a bad image for the country.

The cop noted that in some instances, the proceeds go towards criminal activities.

Assistant Superintendent Barrett stressed that seizure of counterfeit goods, is not personal.

He pointed out that the police must fulfil their duty of upholding the law.
