St. James police report 9 per cent reduction in murders for the first quarter of the year.
There is a nine percent reduction in murders in St. James for the first quarter of the year.
Commanding Officer for the St.James Police, Superintendent Eron Samuels, says the first three months also saw a slight reduction in most major crimes.
Superintendent Samuels adds that the police are placing focus on a number of communities and the St. James capital Montego Bay.
He was speaking at yesterday’s monthly meeting of the St. James Municipal Corporation.
