Falmouth mayor calls for expedited clearing up of capital before unveiling of Usain Bolt statue
Mayor of Falmouth Colin Gager has called for an expedited clearing up of the parish capital.
Mr. Gager said in recent months, the authorities have been ramping up efforts to rid the town of lawlessness, while also restoring law and order.
The mayor said with the upcoming unveiling ceremony for a statue of sport icon Usain Bolt, its important that the town center be clean and orderly.
He said discussions will be held with stakeholders on the matter.
He noted that market vendors may have contributed to the untidy state of the town centre.
