Prime Minister Andrew Holness says he has directed Rural Water Supply Limited to partner with the Education Ministry to assist schools in developing water resilience plans.

The announcement comes as several schools have been impacted by a lack of or low water supply amidst the drought facing the island.

Speaking in parliament yesterday, Mr. Holness said provisions must be made by schools for water storage, as part of their infrastructure plans.

He added that in the foreseeable future, every agent, department, and ministry of government must have a water resilience plan as the country faces climate change.
