Education Minister Fayval Williams says the government is committed to implementing initiatives aimed at closing the digital divide in schools.

She was speaking at the church service for the 60th anniversary of the Jamaica Teachers Association on Sunday morning.

She said government is well advanced in implementing these initiatives, which will bolster science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics – (STEAM) education.

According to the minister, the government believes the prioritizing of STEAM education will achieve world class education and training.
