The Area 2 Narcotics police seized over 900 pounds of marijuana in Norwich, Port Antonio, Portland, this morning.

Reports are that at about 2am, a police team was carrying out an operation in the area, when 18 knitted bags of compressed ganja were found concealed in shrubs.

The ganja weighing 909 pounds has an estimated street value of 9.2 million dollars.

The drug was seized, however, no one was arrested in relation to the find.

In the meantime, the police are urging anyone with information that could assist them in their investigations to call 876-923-5729, the police 119 emergency number or Crime Stop at 311.
