St. Ann Police urge motorists to factor extra time into their commute this Easter weekend
The St. Ann Police are advising motorists to factor extra time into their commute this Easter holiday weekend, even as measures will be implemented to prevent traffic congestion.
Head of the Division Senior Superintendent Dwight Powell has assured that special attention will be placed on problem areas such as Priory, and the Mammee Bay roundabout.
He noted that several events are slated to be held in the parish over the weekend.
SSP Powell said additional traffic management resources will be deployed.
The police are making efforts to avoid a repeat of the traffic chaos that occurred in 2022, when a gridlock along the highway resulted in people being stuck in traffic for hours.
Others opted to walk miles to their destinations.
