The toll free access period for the Williams field to May Pen leg of the Southern Highway, has been extended until July 1.

Prime Minster Andrew Holness gave the update while making his contribution to the budget debate in parliament on Thursday.

He explained that the extension is to facilitate further negotiations with Trans Jamaica Highway Limited.

He said the highway expansion will cover some bypass roadways.
