The Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA) is assessing how to best support relatives of the women and children killed in an arson attack in St. Catherine, on Tuesday.

Two children, four-year-old Kheaden Patterson, his aunt, thirteen-year-old Sora Whyte, as well as Kheaden’s mother and grand mother, perished in the fire that destroyed their home in a section of central village known as Compound.

Chief Executive Officer of the CPFSA, Laurette Adams-Thomas, says the agency is seeking to determine the kind of psycho-social and psychological interventions it can offer to grieving relatives.

She is encouraging persons to report any and all forms of child abuse, to the 24 hour child abuse reporting hotline, 211.
