Two COVID deaths recorded since the start of 2024
Jamaica has recorded 3, 756 COVID-19 deaths, since 2020.
Health and Wellness Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton gave a breakdown of the figures during a meeting of the standing finance committee yesterday.
He said 2021 recorded the highest number of deaths, with over 2,700, while two deaths have been recorded since the start of this year.
Dr. Tufton said government is contemplating how to honor 53 healthcare workers, who died on the frontline, during the pandemic.
