Prime Minister, Andrew Holness says he has given instructions for the Urban Development Corporation (UDC) to use idle lands in Fairy Hill, Portland for housing.

Mr. Holness made the revelation during a political rally in Port Antonio, Portland last night.

He explained that the lands, which are owned by the UDC, amount to an estimated 200 acres and should produce about 300 housing solutions.

He also added that the proceeds from that project will be used to transform the Winifred Beach into a modern beach park.

Plans for this development, he said, have already started.
