Opposition Leader says PNP will win Local Government Election in honour of teen who died while on motorcade in Portmore, St Catherine yesterday
Opposition Leader Mark Golding says the People’s National Party (PNP) will win the upcoming Local Government Election in honour of the teen who died while on a motorcade in Portmore, St Catherine yesterday.
It has been reported that 15-year-old Lamar Grey of Gregory Park, St Catherine died after he fell from a bus while travelling in a motorcade.
Speaking to party supporters in Portmore, St Catherine last evening, Mr Golding offered his condolences to the family and friends of the teen, while urging party supporters to be extremely careful on their campaigns.
In a statement, the PNP said it deeply regrets the tragic incident and asked that the family be allowed the space they need to navigate the death of their loved one.
Grey’s death is the second major incident involving political motorcades since the Local Government Election campaigns started.
A Jamaica Labour Party supporter from St. Thomas lost her leg in another incident earlier this month.
