Prime Minister Andrew Holness says his administration has created 156,000 new jobs since 2016.

The prime minister made the disclosure while highlighting the economic gains made by his government.

He noted that the country is also on target to reducing the debt to GDP.

Prime Minister Holness said today’s GDP represents the work that had to be done by both political parties, to save the economy from bankruptcy.

He added that the island’s net international reserves was at a record high as at December last year.

He was speaking at the Jamaica Dental Association’s Annual Conference on Wednesday.
