Another escapee from the Oracabessa Lock-up back in police custody
Another of the seven inmates who escaped from the Oracabessa police lock-up in December last year, is back in police custody.
This brings to four the number of escapees who have returned.
According to police, 25-year-old Jahmala Vernon, a labourer from Boscobel, in St. Mary, was handed over to the St. Ann’s Bay police by a relative, earlier this afternoon (January 25).
While providing an update on the progress in the efforts to recapture the inmates, Head of Police Area 2, Assistant Commissioner Calvin Allen, commended Vernon’s relatives for handing him over to lawmen.
ACP Allen added that the JCF continues its efforts to apprehend the remaining escapees and urged anyone with information to come forward.
