Licence renewal for public passenger (PPV) and commercial vehicles will be done online, through the new Transport Authority Advanced Integrated Management System (TAAIMS) effective February 1. 

Managing Director of the Transport Authority, Ralston Smith, says the new system will make the licensing application and renewal processes more efficient, allowing for faster turnaround time, approval and delivery of road licenses.

Mr. Smith charged that the Transport Authority, as a regulator, must seek to innovate, evolve and change.

He further noted that the system will allow for on the spot verification of an operator’s license even if they are unable to produce the physical document during a traffic stop. 

The Transport Authority Advanced Integrated Management System (TAAIMS) allows access to tax officials, insurance companies and the police.
