Police are probing the suspected drowning of a boy in the Kingston Harbour.

His identity has not yet been released.

Preliminary reports are that the body of the boy was seen floating in the sea at the Kingston water front, some time on Wednesday afternoon.

An alarm was raised and the body was retrieved by the marine police.

Its reported that the boy, who was a student at the Tivoli gardens high school, had been missing since yesterday afternoon.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
