One of 2 school boys killed in triple fatal shooting in Salt Spring, St. James last year, laid to rest today
Scores of people gathered at the Glendevon Seventh Day Adventist Church in St. James today, for the funeral service of 9-year-old Nahcolive Smith.
Nahcolive was one of two school boys killed by gunmen, while travelling in a taxi in Salt Spring in the parish last November.
A 26 year old man said to have been the target of the attack was also killed.
Speaking at the thanksgiving service, Nahcolive’s mother, Natalie Heaven Smith said her son had a big personality.
Meanwhile, Minister of National Security, Dr. Horace Chang expressed sadness that the boy’s life was cut short.
A St. James man was charged in relation to the killing of Nahcolive and 2 others last year.
He is Travis Tummings otherwise called ‘Chi Chi’, of Barrett Town in the parish.
Speaking at the funeral service Head of the St. James Police Senior Superintendent Vernon Ellis said lawmen have fulfilled the promise of nabbing those responsible.
