152 people have been fatally shot by members of the security forces since the start of the year.
This is more than the number recorded in the corresponding period last year.
Among the latest fatalities is a man who reportedly engaged lawmen in a shoot-out in Tawes Meadows Spanish Town, St. Catherine, on Thursday night.
His identity has not yet been released.
The lawmen were reportedly rescuing a man who was abducted when they came under gunfire.
Lawmen successfully rescued the abductee.
However, some residents of Tawes Meadows took to the streets on Friday to protest the fatal shooting.
They claim the man was innocent.
The Independent Commission of Investigations, Indecom is probing the incident.
Meantime Commissioner of Indecom Hugh Faulkner has expressed concern about the increase in fatal shootings.
