Two men were shot and killed, during an attempted robbery in Tryall District Junction St Elizabeth on Sunday morning.

The men have been identified as Christophine Gardener and Chevaughn Hall otherwise called ‘Munga’ both of Clarendon.

Head of the St Elizabeth police acting Superintendent Coleridge Minto said that two armed men attempted to rob patrons at an event when they were challenged by licensed firearm holders.

Superintendent Minto said the men are said to have featured in several robberies in the parish.

He said one person is in custody following the incident.

Superintendent Minto said the division will not be a safe haven for criminals.
