Human rights lobby group Jamaicans for Justice expresses concern about the recent SOEs
Human rights lobby group, Jamaicans for Justice (JFJ) has expressed concern about the recent States of Public Emergency (SOEs) in the island.
The SOEs for St. James, Hanover, Westmoreland, St. Catherine, Clarendon and the St. Andrew South Division took effect today.
Speaking with Irie FM News, Executive Director Mickel Jackson, said the government’s continuous use of the security measure is a demonstration of utter contempt for the constitution of Jamaica.
She is urging Jamaicans to stand up for their constitutional rights.
