The Private Sector Organization of Jamaica (PSOJ) is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the socio-economic repercussions of recent bomb threats across the country.

In a statement, PSOJ President Metry Seaga said the assessment will include an evaluation of business disruptions caused by extended office closures, loss of productive hours, and the need for early staff dismissals due to school closures.

He explained that the evaluation will quantify the economic losses and explore the broader social consequences of the disruptions.

Mr Seaga argued that by understanding the impacts, the PSOJ can develop and implement effective strategies and advocacy efforts.

He said this analysis is critical in ensuring that the PSOJ remains proactive and adaptable in addressing such challenges, as well as supporting the stability and resilience of its member businesses and the broader Jamaican community.

Mr Seaga has urged business operators islandwide to review and implement robust security protocols.
