JTA reports increase in teachers and students with flu-like symptoms
As the country continues to deal with the dengue outbreak, the Jamaica Teachers’ Association (JTA) is reporting an increase in the number of teachers and students who exhibit flu-like symptoms.
JTA President Leighton Johnson told IRIE FM news that the necessary checks are being conducted to determine whether or not these persons have been infected with the dengue virus.
Mr Johnson urged parents to keep children away from other students if they exhibit flu-like symptoms.
