Grammy nominees to be announced Nov. 10
The nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards will be unveiled in just a few days, on November 10.
In the meantime, some fans are waiting to see if their favorite Reggae or Dancehall artists will receive an acknowledgment from the Recording Academy.
Last month, some of the entertainers who shared that they received Grammy considerations include Stephen Marley for his album ‘Old Soul’, Buju Banton for ‘Born For Greatness’, Beenie Man’s SIMMA, Anthony B’s ‘Bread and Butter’, Julian Marley’s Colours of Royal, Richie Spice’s Black Man Time, Zamunda’s ‘Jah Love Surround Me’, Charley Black’s ‘No Excuses’, Valiant’s Mixtape 4:14, and Blvk H3ro’s debut studio album ‘Mission’.
Other albums released during the Grammy eligibility period from October 1, 2022, to September 15, 2023, are Collie Buddz ‘Take It Easy’, and Michael Roses’ ‘I Give You Love’ among others.
However, the two Marley’s have received Grammy considerations across multiple categories. Stephen Marley is being considered for Best Global Music Album, Song of the Year for “Old Soul”, Album of the Year, Best American Roots Performance and Best American Roots Song for “Winding Roads” and Best Global Performance for “There’s A Reward”.
Meanwhile, Julian Marley is being considered in two categories, Best Reggae album for Colours of Royal, and Best Global Music Performance for his Roll-Rodando remix.
The nominees will be announced next Friday (Nov 10), ahead of the highly anticipated Grammy awards which is slated to take place on February 4, 2024.
